Design Inspiration

Inspired by the world of sports trading cards and memrobilia. Used ideas from some unique collections such as set building and rainbow collecting. Designed to feel like an authentic piece of memorbillia you may find at your favorite teams home venue.

Clear plastic cover for inside visibility.

Exploded view of all parts. Base, card and clear cover.

Can be made in sorts of colors and numbers to fit for whatever cards you may want to display.

Project Brief

My family and I are massive sports fans and love to collect sports cards. We often set up a table at our local card shows where we buy, sell and trade cards. There are many collecters including myself, who only collect their favorite players.

Market Research

  • Simple designs used such as basic shapes like boxes or different types of rectangles.

  • Some are just shelving, exposing the cards to dust and making them more prone to any damages or accidents.

  • No real unique designs or features that make one stand out from another.

  • Any kind of personalized case are mostly for single cards and not large quantities.

Each spot for cards measures 4.5x3.25 in with a .4 spot for your finger to de-attach the cover.

Back of case where nails or screws can be used to mount on a wall

Card fits seamlessly underneath of the plastic cover.

Materials

  • Will be made from cutting and engraving sheet of acrylic.

  • It is strong, durable, lightweight and cheap making it an excellent choice for a material.

It also can come in many colors which is very useful for this project.

Full case with both numbers. Each number measures 32x 22in.

Clear plastic case measures 4.5x3.25x.14 in with the diameter of the magnet being .25in

Use fingers to deattach magnets, then lift up the cover to fully remove.

Horizontal cards can also be displayed for more variety towards showing off your collection.

Hang up on your wall in your basement, living room, man cave, or wherever else you may display your collection.
